MUSIC ROLE FOR PRESHOOL AGES DEVELOPMENT

Human being is known as the best creature in this universe. Since an infant grows up in the mother's womb the uniqueness of human is already seen. Let’s see a glance toward infant development when the pregnancy is around six month. Experts say that in this age, infant’s ears are created perfectly. Then, Based on the further research scientists consider that infant in the age is better to have music listened for their heart beat development.

As the case is no more a secret for any mother in this world, means that infants are familiar toward the music. However, music role does not stop over the stage. In the further development, music still have main role. Especially for children who are in preschool, it is already believed that they are educated easily through the music.

Those things appropriate with the research done by Howard Gardner (1993). He says

“ At first blush, this diagnosis would appear to sound a death knell for formal education. It is hard to teach one intelligence; what if there are seven? It is hard to enough to teach even when anything can be taught; what to do if there are distinct limits and strong constraints on human cognition and learning?

(Howard Gardner 1993: xxiii).”

In this case he has discovered a strong relation between music and child’s intelligence in which he define seven intelligence had by children. There are Linguistic intelligence, Logical-mathematical intelligence, Musical intelligence, Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, spatial intellegence, Interpersonal intellegence, and the last is Intrapersonal intellegence.

Sometimes people think how it can be. It is true and real. One of the things that can be used for strenghten the theory is a fact that human has actively involvement with music. And their Avtiveness does not mean solely fisical and motoric involment but more than that. The music makes mantal, emosional and spiritual envolvement.

So, music is not only considered as the sound combinations but much more about beauty that brings valuable things for the children. It is shown through their behaviour like motivation, charmful feeling during the musical activities.
